Midlands-based window fabricator and Kenrick customer Finesse Windows has been shortlisted for the title of ‘Which? Trusted Trader of the Year 2017’. Finesse, which joined the Which? Trusted Trader endorsement scheme only last year, is one of just four firms in the whole of the UK to be shortlisted for the prestigious award.
Which? – the UK’s largest independent consumer organisation – selected the four companies for their high standards of customer service. Finesse Windows was shortlisted because of the consistently excellent feedback that it receives from customers for the quality of its products and high standards of service. One in four customers choose to publish a review about Finesse on the Which? Trusted Traders website.
Finesse qualified to join the Which? Trusted Trader endorsement scheme after completing a rigorous application. This included a series of finance assessments, customer satisfaction audits and checks on the firm’s business and administrative procedures.
Finesse has been a customer of Kenrick for more than 20 years and every window and door it fabricates is fitted with a Kenrick system. The firm fabricates around 80 windows a week and these are fitted with Kenrick’s Excalibur multi-point locking system. Finesse doors are equipped with the Kenrick Excalibur door lock.
Russell Bridge, managing director of Finesse, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted for this award, which recognises our very high standards of customer care. Customer satisfaction is of course not just based on our service, but also the quality of our products and we are very confident that everything we fabricate delivers high performance and unbeatable levels of security.
“We’ve thoroughly tested our windows and the Kenrick locking systems at our factory in Birmingham and we know that they are exceptionally durable and secure. This gives our customers a greater level of confidence in us and that’s why we get so many consistently good reviews on Trusted Traders. Our customers have been fundamental in us being tipped for this award and we’re really excited about the finals.”
The winners will be announced at the Which? Awards in London next month.
Finesse and Kenrick worked closely together to develop a bespoke version of Kenrick’s Excalibur multi-point locking system. The system utilises purpose designed shootbolt locking bars to provide six locking points and a robust central gearbox.
Finesse was also one of the first company’s in the industry to use Kenrick’s Excalibur door lock. The lock meets the requirements of PAS 23/24 and Secured by Design and has been function tested to more than 100,000 cycles. It also exceeds the requirements of BS EN 1670 Grade 4 (severe) rating for salt spray corrosion resistance.
Finesse opted for both systems because they combine high security with ease of use. Both solutions are very quick and simple to install and are backed by a comprehensive 10-year manufacturer’s warranty and five-year security guarantee. The guarantee provides the homeowner with free security cover, up to £500 towards the cost of replacing a damaged window and up to £600 towards the cost of replacing stolen property for a period of 10 years.
