Introduction to Kenricks

Archibald Kenrick & Sons started life as an iron founder in 1791, manufacturing buckles and livery fittings from our site in West Bromwich. Over 200 years later we still manufacture from the same site, and as a part of the privately owned SPIRE MANUFACTURING now supply quality window and door hardware to the trade. The world renowned Shepherd Castor range has been produced in the West Brom factory for over 50 years and is the market leading product in it’s field.
A Process of Continuous Product Development saw the introduction of the Sabrelock, Sentrilock and Rapier shootbolts during the 1990’s and the evolution of the uniquely recognisable EXCALIBUR shootbolt in 2000.
Today KENRICKS supply a comprehensive and versatile range of Secured By Design approved products, designed and prototyped by our own team of designers and manufactured both in house and with the co-operation of our long established manufacturing partners. The introduction of the Excalibur Door Lock followed the development of the Centurian range, again highlighting our commitment to lock enhancement.
With full technical assistance and field support we are able to provide solutions to match individual customer requirements, and many millions of KENRICK locking products have been fitted throughout the UK providing trouble free service.
Archibald Kenrick & Sons are an important name in the West Midlands region. Located on Kenrick Way, we have a local train station and lecture theatres in Aston and Birmingham Universities in our name.
